News feeds - staying informed

Welcome to your guide to news feeds and staying informed. Use the Ask a Librarian box to contact us if you need more help.

Introducing news feeds

A news feed (sometimes called an “RSS feed”) is a way to subscribe to information, such as news headlines, recently published journal articles, blogs, or new audio or video recordings on the web. You can subscribe to feeds from the sites that interest you and use them to keep up to date instead of having to visit the site regularly. This guide will show you how to get started using feeds.

Use the "Ask a Librarian" service to the right if you need any help using feeds.

This short video from easycomputercoach goes through the basics.
