You must acknowledge any ideas or words from other authors that you have used in your own work. Including material from another writer as if it were your own will result in plagiarism and your academic integrity will be affected.

If you wish to use reference management software Endnote and Zotero are recommended.

EndNote requires you to download an additional piece of software, called a plugin, enabling it to be compatible with the New Zealand Law Style Guide. 

Zotero is not compatible with the New Zealand Law Style Guide; however, it is freely available without a subscription, meaning when you are no longer a staff or student with institutional access you can still use the tool. If you previously used Juris-M, your work can be exported to Zotero.
