Welcome to the School of Design! My name is Marisa and I'm your Subject Librarian. This guide is designed to help you get the most out of the Library and succeed in your studies. It also gives you information on the best resources to use for your study and research.

When can I use the Library?

Our online catalogue, Te Waharoa, and other online resources are available around the clock. See our Borrowing page for information on loan periods and overdue fees, requesting items and renewing books.

The Architecture and Design Library on Vivian Street is open:

  • Monday to Friday, 8am to midnight. The Service Point is open from 8am to 8pm.
  • Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, 10am to 10pm. The Service Point is open from 10am to 3pm.

If there's no-one at the Service Point, please don't be shy - just knock on the workroom door and ask for help.

Book a group study room if you need to work with a team for a while.

Your Subject Librarian (that's me) is in the Library from 9am to 5pm.
