Software and games

APA Referencing distinguishes between: 

  • "standard" software such as Microsoft Word, Java and Photoshop
  • "specialised" software or computer programmes wth limited distribution. 

Specialised software needs to be referenced, while standard software does not. Unfortunately, a comprehensive list of which software is standard and which is specialised is not provided.
